' Description  Here we have a superb pair of Avalon Acoustics Monitors!!   Made from 1994 to 1999 and last retailed for $3,600.00 the pair (this directly from Mr. Lucien Pichette at Avalon).  I believe the finish is light oak.  They utilize a 7" Kevlar woofer and a 1" titanium dome tweeter.  Freq. response: 48Hz to 24KHz; impedance: 6 ohms; sens: 87db-1W/1M.  Beautifully made faceted cabinetry-- the standard at Avalon. These are visually stunning- as such they should have a very high W.A.F. (wife acceptance factor)!!! Solid, heavy, non resonant enclosures here!! Also included are the removable tweeter protective screens.  In addition,  I am ordering the spikes from Avalon-these are necessary due to the fact that the terminals and port are on the bottom---the spikes will allow for the necessary clearance for the cables as well as proper venting-- according to Mr. Pichette. They will be included should they arrive in time-otherwise they will be sent seperately. The original boxes are not available. We would prefer local pickup (Philly, PA area) so you can see and hear them for yourself.  These are in excellent condition-any physical defects are insignificant and do not detract at all from the appearance!!  The drivers are in excellent shape as well - these will give you years of listening pleasure!!!!
