COMMUNITY CSX-70 S2 FULL RANGE HI-FI / PA SPEAKERS with matching CSX-60 Bass Cabinets THIS AUCTION IS FOR ALL FOUR (4) SPEAKERS, not sold individually as some other sellers offer with lower pricing   If you have JBL, EAW or Mackie equipment, you will find these speakers completely compatible.   Each CSX-70 has four 12" drivers, 1 horn and 4 tweeters Each CSX-60 has four 15" woofers TWENTY SIX SPEAKERS TOTAL !   Should you be interested in just the CSX 60's or 70's let us know and we might consider a seperate auction   This CSX-70 is the latest Hi-Fi version with the SINGLE horn and 4 tweeters, the older 2 horn version is nowhere near as good.   Enormous output of 105 db with true Hi-Fi sound. Starting at the low end the four 15" woofers in EACH CSX-60 cabinet handle up to 1500 watts covering the range of 20hz to 150 hz with a wall of bass power.   CSX-60 has a built in 150HZ crossover so any frequencies of 150hz get sent to the CSX-70 upper cabinets where the four 12" woofers in EACH CSX-70 gives you plenty of sound pressure and accuracy as the 12" does a perfect job in the 150 to 700 hz range resulting in a wall of mid-bass power. Like the D'Appolito designs that use multiple woofers to get the needed output, Community followed suit. Also very noticeable is the accuracy of a 12" vs. a 15" trying to cover the range over 400, Any speaker expert will tell you 15" woofers are not linear or accurate over 400hz but 12" ones are both linear and accurate up to the 700 hz cutover point.     From 700 hz the world famous M200 horn takes over. Typical horn loaded speakers in Hi-FI/theater or Pro PA sound are FAR superior in output and clarity than EAW woofer style drivers.   Where vocal clarity is critical like in theaters or vocal bands, crossover is usually around 500 hz and the horns must be huge. For instance the 500hz  JBL 2365A is 2.5 foot tall, wide and deep or the Altec 511 who is slightly smaller but only in height.    Where Vocals are not critical, crossovers are usually set at 1200 hz for smoother response and smaller horn size.   The reason the Community M200 horn is world famous is the happy medium of 700 hz with a smaller sized horn, AND EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY, keeping most of the vocal range in one driver for excellent clarity and output.     Three way Pro cabinets are rare due to the difficulty in getting high power / high output / high sound quality tweeters to match that of the horns and woofers. Thus most PA cabinets are NOT Hi-FI due to the lack of coverage above 4000 hz.     Like the Woofer and Horn arrangement, Community got it right in the HF section as well.     The final crossover point is at 4000 hz where the 4 tweeters take over on EACH cabinet.  I have heard all of the others to compare with them like the Beyma, 2404 Baby Cheeks, and others and none will provide the needed  output to match the high output of the other horn & woofers in these cabinets.  Community did there homework on these tweeters, they are not the cheap ones you find at parts express.         Rated at 600w RMS & 1500 Program. What's so nice about these is the big sound they can put out with only a 400 watt per channel amp like Crown or QSC. Yet are capable of handling the big dog 1500 watt amps.     THREE OPTION FLEXIBILITY, RARELY FOUND ON HI-FI / PA SPEAKERS   OPTION 1. NEED HEAVY BASS POWER? If you want to run the with a bi-amp set up you simply crossover at your mixer and send the CSX-60 the 150hz and below and the CSX-70 150hz and above.   OPTION 2. NEED A SIMPLE FULL RANGE SPEAKER SET UP? The CSX-60 Bass Cabinets have a built in 150 low pass crossover THAT ALLOWS YOU TO PLUG IN THE CSX-70 INTO IT SO YOU NEED ONLY ONE SPEAKER WIRE TO EACH CABINET STACK. The low pass crossover allows you to throw as much bass at them as you want and the upper CSX-70 cabinets are protected with the 150hz and up crossover point. This not only allows for a simpler setup but smoother response (great for vocal or acoustic) but not as strong bass as a biamp setup (for DJ or Rock).       OPTION 3 HIGH DEFINITION FULL RANGE Is what I use (happy medium of the 2 options above). A simple 150hz 2 way subwoofer crossover, sending the lows to the CSX60 and the Highs to the CSX70. The built in high pass filter mentioned above in option 2 still allows the CSX 60s the ENTIRE FREQ RANGE and the high freq 150 and up are passed to the 70's. Although the four 15" woofers in each cabinet naturally taper off above 150 hz you can still hear some upper frequencies (150 to 1000 hz) coming throu the bass cabinet. The 150hz crossover solves that problem and the 2 cabinets sound better especially in the CS60 with a more punchy bass. I will include the crossovers with the purchase      ~ ALL 4 of the speakers are in EXCELLENT WORKING AND VERY GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION! Never Had ANY Problems. I got them from a music store in the condition you see them and I took a few extra steps to make them stand out from the others on Ebay. 1. First I inspected the drivers to make sure they were the correct ones.  2. I then cleaned the crossover connects and treated them with silclear silver impregnated grease that will insure a good connection for another couple decades. Do a google search on this stuff, it is not snake oil. 3. I also give you some shipping options that are reasonable. 4. I gave them a through sound test and they sound as good or better than any JBL, EAW, Mackie of this price range except with a higher 105 db sensitivity.    5. I will offer a 7 day guarantee of the drivers only (except blown voice coils from overpowering) otherwise sold as is. 6.  The final photos show how you can make these year round outdoor speakers. Simply place speakers on cinderblocks and cover each one with a "roof" made of hardyboard and then wrap each speaker with the outdoor fabric shown in the photos. I will include the fabric as shown that is easily removed as it is only stapled on. Other sellers of these, either do not know, or certainly will not bother to open them up to verify these things, then they sell on an "as-is basis" so God only knows what you will end up getting (assuming they will even ship).
