Included in the auction are a pair of 205's, the 202c center, the matching KEF center channel stand, manuals and jumpers. Sonically accurate and beautiful styling, these have served me well since I purchased them, but the dreaded upgrade bug has hit, which is why I'm selling. They are very detailed speakers, letting you hear things in the music others would veil. The detail also lends itself very well to movies, as dialogue is very clear and intelligible. Absolutely nothing functionally wrong with these, but there are some cosmetic issues that the previous owner decided to omit when he sold them to me. Firstly, the center is in excellent shape with no marks, as I purchased that separately from the 205's. The 205's are quite a distance apart in serial numbers and, as you can hopefully see in the one pic, the bass/treble contour buttons have different functions. Obviously a change KEF made during the run. There are some scratches on the black head of the one speaker which the camera flash exaggerates. There are some marks on the tabs of one of the Uni-Q drivers, suggesting it may have been out for replacement at some point. The "C"s on the REFERENCE label on the bottom of the speakers are torn, probably from handling during packing. There are a few MINOR dings in the cabinets- nothing serious. The grills on all three look excellent. I want to stress that I am trying to be accurate in my description, and that the speakers sound great and are very presentable. My price reflects the issues described. I have kept these in my non-smoking home, in a room that my pets are not allowed in. If you are looking at these, you probably know what the new /2 series sells for. IMHO, these differ very little both sonically and aesthetically.
