Description
Tekton Design’s1Pair - Aural Replica 7.1 Reference Monitor I've critically listened to nearly every so-called high-end loudspeaker on the market, and frankly, I can count on one hand my competitors who have truly convinced me that I might just be listening to the original event! I can promise you a beautiful one-in-a-million loudspeaker system that is hand-crafted, that uses my proprietary innovations, methods, and technologies, that surpasses the competition, and will please and is guaranteed to give the “chills” to even the most discriminating audiophile! Loudspeakers are the most complex, electro-mechanical-acoustical devices that have ever been imagined. The design process is a nearly unimaginable, multi-faceted process that demands strict attention to every detail, and proper implementation is nearly impossible to achieve. A world-class loudspeaker is arguably as hard to produce as any world-class musical instrument. Why are the 320-year-old Stradivarius violins still the reference by which all violins produced since then are measured? Here are a few reasons why… Stradivarius was an individual and not a large corporation. He was passionate. He was an artesian, a visionary, a craftsman, a genius. He was an attentive pupil. He was divinely inspired. He had the gift, and he obviously had a lot of closely guarded intellectual property. Likewise, loudspeakers are musical instruments, too. Now, where are you going to find loudspeakers (musical instruments) modeled after a pioneer like Stradivarius? You guessed it --Tekton Design! Tekton is the Greek work for craftsman -- think “Arche-tekton”. With over two decades of experience in pushing the envelope of audio, I would love to provide you with loudspeakers that can come so close to the real event, that you would be amazed! So far, regarding my career in audio, I’ve been a loyal acoustical engineer for a handful of reputable companies for which I’m credited with assisting with or stand-alone-designing over 30 commercially available loudspeaker models. I have 3 loudspeaker-related patents, with 3 more patents pending, and I could file for at least 10 more if I desired! I’ve watched the quantities of my work sell into the hundreds of thousands, and I’ve watched them be converted into millions upon millions of dollars. I have just begun my solo career…and now I can finally showcase my closest guarded secrets in speaker design. OK, now about the loudspeaker… This is the most believable soundstage you can find at any price! You WILL NOT FIND BETTER! My proprietary Bessel Array is a strictly utilitarian design that is compatible with all amplifier topologies. They’re packed with over 3 years of research & development, and most importantly, evolution, into the Bessel array (originally patented by Philips), which is the loudspeaker system that produces a spherical wave front, not planar, so it behaves as a single point source. The ribbon transducer is “coaxially” located within the array; and is an implementation that I’ve pioneered. Where else are you going to find a 5 foot coaxial loudspeaker? Temperament: You will be blown away with the believable, life-like image, and soundstage/soundfield that these loudspeakers present to the listener! They offer true resolution, high definition, wide bandwidth, ultra high sensitivity, and incredibly low distortion. Specifications: 30Hz – 40Khz frequency response, average (full-band width) 95.3dB W/m sensitivity- 4 Ohm impedance, 1 Watt minimum, 500 Watt nominal input. Transducer size: 6 X 177mm transducer & 1 X 8.5mm X 130mm wave shaped ribbon. Acoustic radiation type: Proprietary Bessel Array / coaxially mounted tweeter. Crossover type: minimum phase. Loudspeaker dimensions: 65.75” (167cm) tall X 14.0” (35.56cm) wide X 21.375” (54.29cm) deep. Note: Stand base dimensions: 17.0” (43.18cm) wide X 24.375” (61.91cm) deep. Proprietary cabinet materials and construction methods, weight is 400 lbs. each. The baffles are finished in a textured black medium gloss black lacquer, and the cabinets are of the veneer or paint of your choice. They have WBT or Cardas inputs (your preference). Proudly manufactured in the U.S.A.! My Disclaimer: A great loudspeaker has a perfect balance of science and art within in its design, and I’m confident I’ve found that balance here. I religiously stick to form-following-function design techniques that are grounded in physics. My loudspeaker designs are simple and elegant, and I have developed many proprietary techniques and methods related to loudspeaker design. Please allow 2-3 weeks for me to complete your loudspeakers, and a reasonable shipping timetable for the delivery. I’m also available at a reasonable price to get them set-up and dialed in for you. If my proprietary Coaxial Bessel Array is something of interest to you, and if the $16K price tag is not in line with your budget, please drop me a note, I have many exciting options available, including a few that are specifically designed for home theaters! My Rules: These speakers are for serious hi-fi listeners only! I love to chat about hi-fi and audio, but please do not inquire of me unless you have a genuine interest in making a purchase! Winning bidder must contact me within 48 hours of the auction’s end, and must pay within 7 days of the auction’s end unless prior arrangements have been made. I offer a 30-day money back (less shipping costs) guarantee if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase. Because of the proprietary nature of this speaker system, the purchaser (winning bidder) will agree to sign a brief and simple non-disclosure agreement that insures that this speaker system will not be internally examined, copied, or reverse engineered Thanks and happy bidding, Eric Alexander
